Cheryl Beachy Stauffer is a trailblazing entrepreneur and creative visionary who has built two dynamic and distinct brands—Crimson Design Group in 2003 and Salon in 2023—each rooted in her passion for transformation, connection and storytelling.

Born in Paraguay to Mennonite missionaries, Cheryl’s early exposure to diverse cultures and natural beauty shaped her lifelong belief in the power of spaces and communities to inspire growth and joy. This belief has driven her work as both a designer and a community builder, with each of her ventures reflecting her unique ability to bring unseen beauty and untapped potential to light.

Crimson Design Group

As the founder and CEO of Crimson Design Group, Cheryl has led the firm to national acclaim for its innovative, people-centered approach to interior design. Since its inception more than two decades ago, Crimson has grown from a solo venture into a dynamic team of creatives who specialize in creating spaces that evoke emotion and foster connection.

Cheryl’s work has earned numerous accolades, including recognition in Designers Today’s Top 50 Designers Power List of 2024 and the Columbus Smart 50 Awards. Her design philosophy, inspired by her global travels and deep appreciation for cultural richness, seeks to make the unseen visible and to tell each client’s unique story through their travels and style.

Cheryl’s second brand, Salon, draws inspiration from the salons of 18th-century Europe—intimate parlors where thinkers, creators, and visionaries of diverse backgrounds gathered to exchange ideas, share stories and foster community. With Salon, Cheryl reimagines this timeless concept as a modern gathering place for women seeking intellectual and personal growth in a diverse community.

Unlike the term’s modern association with beauty services, Cheryl’s Salon revives the original meaning of the word:

a welcoming, elegant space where meaningful conversations happen, connections are forged and lives are enriched.

It is a sanctuary for individuals in the “second half of life” to explore their next chapter, engage with others and embrace transformation across practical and emotional dimensions.

Through curated events, workshops and gatherings, Cheryl has designed a community that celebrates bold self-expression, growth and the joy of living unapologetically.
